Meet the people and organizations that help make Athene North Shore possible. Our highly-trained on-site team is dedicated to ensuring that each visitor is able to enjoy nature at their own pace. And, thanks to our private supporters, the park offers standard and adaptive equipment, accessible facilities, and inclusive activities for all ages and abilities so everyone feels safe and free to explore the outdoors.
Devon Boes OTD, OTR/L
Program and Outreach Coordinator
Occupational therapist, environmental advocate, and all-around passionate leader. Devon is leading our team through education on universal access, as well as creating partnerships with other like-minded community organizations. Jeremy Basset
Park Ranger
Jeremy is one of Athene North Shore’s most visible representatives as the Ranger for Easter Lake Park. He’s laser-focused on making sure all park visitors have a safe space to recreate. Jeremy has worked in law enforcement for 20+ years across Iowa and has a passion for developing positive relationships with park users.

Community Outreach Supervisor
What makes Jessica tick? It’s effective communication that makes everyone feel knowledgeable and empowered. Her career in public relations has spanned more than 20 years and each one helped her grow and learn. Working on the Athene North Shore team is allowing Jessica to build even more skills surrounding accessible communication.

As staff join Athene North Shore they benefit from vital training that ultimately provides park visitors a deep sense of belonging and safety. All staff are CPR and First Aid certified, and are trained to assist with safe transfers in and out of accessible equipment.
